Digital Peninsula Network Ltd. (DPN) based in Penzance, Cornwall, is a dynamic working environment, with a range of education, business support and innovation activities centred around digital technology.

The PONToon project is an EU Interreg 5A funded project. Digital Peninsula Network Ltd. is a partner in this three and a half year project with total budget of €5.8 million. This partnership is led by Portsmouth University and has a diverse mix of 11 UK and French partners, including institutes of higher education, local public authority, education and training centres, sectoral agencies, NGOs and business incubation units that can serve a multifaceted user group and engage a wide range of stakeholders to create a partnership greater than the sum of its individual parts.

PONToon will employ digital technologies in order to provide equal access to training and employment services and respond to the digital skills shortage that exist across all sectors, creating multi-pronged benefits for both the end user and service providers, and uses an innovative co-creation methodology. The project will target socially excluded women who are disadvantaged by their gender, have challenges such as lone parenthood, mental/physical health issues and restricted mobility and are often combined with a lack of key soft skills that could benefit from digital upskilling.

This position requires a high degree of initiative and the post holder will be expected to possess exceptional organisational and communication skills. An understanding of the delivery of EU funded projects will be needed, including funding procedures and administrative tasks. The candidate will be expected to gain an understanding of DPN’s academic and financial policies and procedures relating to EU funding sources.
