Sometimes you struggle to get the right image you’re looking for. This is where stock images can help, but you must use images that have a free for commercial use license. If not, you can be caught out by either paying high prices for images or breaching copyright and license policies. Here are some of our favourite free and reliable stock image sites.
Pexels
This site contains 1000’s of free commercial use photos with a wide range of images and videos.
Their videos have especially good quality and there's a variety of content to choose from. Pexels has something for any business.
Pixabay
They have royalty-free images which include icons & vector graphics. Something which can be hard to find royalty-free.
Pixabay is a step up from Pexels if you’re looking for a wider range of media. They have options for photos, illustrations, vectors, videos and music.
This is DPN's personal go-to for media resources.
Unsplash
Unplash offers free to use images that are perfect for web design and social media. Their images tend to be on the larger side – which can be a plus for retaining image quality and you have the option to scale them down.
