Unlike traditional networking events where you spend most of the evening speaking to people you already know rather than approaching strangers, speed networking provides a structured environment for you to meet with like minded people, exchange ideas and quickly decide whether there is a mutual interest. The evening is structured so that you spend about 3-4 minutes with each person, exchange business cards and then get together for a relaxed drink at the end.
